Why is "Posting" so important for toddlers?
“Posting” is a skill that toddlers naturally develop whereby they try and position and then insert objects through holes.
The classic Shape-sorting Dump Truck from Kids Gift Studio is the perfect example of how toddlers try to insert the correct shaped block through the corresponding shaped hole. All in all, an activity which provides hours of endless fun and learning!
These “posting” activities are crucial to toddler development as they require a high level of hand-eye co-ordination and problem-solving skills.
Hand-eye co-ordination helps toddlers to track the moments of their hands with their eyes – a skill which is essential for reading and decoding. Hand-eye coordination also involves and utilizes so many other important body systems such as your child’s proprioception, vestibular, visual processing and sensory-motor skills.
The Bug-in-a-Jug toy from Kids Gift Studio is the perfect gift to help toddlers develop and master their “posting” skills. The different shapes, sizes and colours of the spider, butterfly, ladybug and grasshopper provide ample opportunity for toddlers to “post” the creepy-crawlers into the transparent jug.
Added to that, the Bug-in-a-Jug insects provide audio stimulation, with the butterfly’s crinkly wings, the ladybird’s squeak and the grasshopper and spider rattles.
So let your toddler learn, develop and grow all while playing!
